Preventive Measures Related to COVID-19 Virus

Dear clients,

We would like to inform you about precaution measures to prevent and mitigate the spread of new coronavirus disease COVID-19.

The government of the Czech Republic declared the state of emergency in its entire territory for 30 days with effect from March 12th, 2020 from 2 pm. However, new mitigations have been announced today, so please check back to the website of the Ministry of Interior (https://www.mvcr.cz/mvcren/) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (https://www.mzv.cz/en) regularly.

In order to comply with precaution measures you are obliged to comply with following orders and restrictions:

  1. Effective immediately, no flights outside the FIR of the Czech Republic are permitted with aircraft operated by Flying Academy. This applies to all types of flights – dual, PIC, skill tests.

  1. Due to rapid changes in travel policy for Czech citizens and foreign nationals from EU Schengen countries and also third countries (outside of the Schengen zone), if you are present within the territory of the Czech Republic, you cannot travel outside of its territory. International passenger travel has been restricted in order to minimize the movement of people and therefore the spread of the disease.

  1. If you are planning to come to the Czech Republic to initiate or continue with your training, make sure to contact your Flight Training Consultant at Flying Academy prior to your departure. There are rapid changes and daily updates on travel policies in the Czech republic and all around the EU depending on daily situation. Upon contact, we will try to provide you with up-to date travel information. Safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority.

  1. Comply with increased standards of personal hygiene. Wash hands every time you return from public space back to your home or immediately after arrival to school. Do not sneeze or cough in public or school. If needed always use single-use paper towels and dispose of them immediately after use. If it is available to you, it is recommended to use hand sanitizer as well.

  1. Monitor your body temperature and further symptoms of COVID-19 disease (sweating, muscle and joint pain, tiredness, dry cough) if you match any of these contact Nonstop hotline of the National Institute of Public Health: + 420 724 810 106  and + 420 725 191 367 to coordinate further actions, until you obtain instructions from Public Health office try to minimize contact with others.

  1. Public transport system within the Czech Republic operates normally. Also grocery shops and pharmacies remain open to the public without any restrictions.
